Creating Media Wise Kids

Mass media has changed dramatically in the last 30 years. Until adults become aware of the changes, we unintentionally continue to contribute to the negative consequences that the media have on our children, our families and our communities. In this workshop, we will address how children learn values, attitudes and behaviors from the mass media and offer concrete suggestions for how to use the media in a healthy way. The presentation will include practical action ideas, a short video, and questions and answers.
