If you want your massage to be effective, do it with the use of warm coconut oil, olive or mustard oil. The last one is not so widely known, but it can be very effective due to its amazing rubefacient qualities.

Other essential oils which may turn out to be effective include rosemary oil or primrose oil. 4. Epsom Salt

Epsom salt is a wonderful remedy to numb feet or hands as it contains magnesium sulfate crystals, which can effectively boost your blood circulation. You can use Epsom salt regularly to get rid of the problem permanently.

Just prepare a bowl with warm water and add there ½ cup of Epsom salt. Soak there your feet or hands for about ten minutes. You can do it even several times a week.

Epsom salt is also a good remedy for tired and stiffened muscles, thus, you can also add some of it to your bath water and soak in it for about twenty minutes. This solution is not appropriate for people who deal with kidney-related problems or diabetes.

5. Turmeric

The most powerful compound of turmeric is curcumin, which has wonderful anti-inflammatory properties and can boost the blood circulation. Additionally, if you feel pain in your hands or feet, turmeric may turn out to be helpful as well.

You can use turmeric both internally and externally. Prepare a remedial drink by warming up a cup of milk and adding there one teaspoon of turmeric powder and some honey. Drink it once a day for better blood circulation.

If you add a little amount of water to the turmeric powder, you will get a thick paste. Rub it gently in the affected area for a few minutes and then wash it off with warm water. 6. Keep Your Hands or Feet Up

As one of the most common reasons of numbness in feet or hands is poor circulation of blood, you should keep the affected area of your body elevated above your chest level. Stay in this position for a few minutes until your blood circulation improves and a strange sensation disappears.

If you mainly suffer from numbness at night, you can hold your feet or hands on a few pillows. In general, it’s a good idea to rest with your legs up every day for at least a few minutes as it can prevent numbness in feet or toes.

7. Cinnamon

If your problem is poor blood circulation, which leads to the feeling of numbness in your feet or hands, you should include cinnamon in your daily diet. It’s even recommended to take from 2 to 4 grams of cinnamon every day for proper blood flow.

Simply add one teaspoon of cinnamon powder to a cup of warm water. Drink it once a day. Another option is to consume the mixture made of one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey. Eat it in the morning for several weeks to get rid of numbness.

8. Ginkgo Biloba

Ginkgo biloba is a herb commonly used in Ayurvedic practice. It can be helpful in eliminating and preventing the problem of numbness in hands and feet. The scientists regularly discover new, wonderful properties of ginkgo biloba.

Some recent studies have shown that this herb may also be effective in dealing with memory problems caused by Alzheimer’s or dementia. You can take ginkgo biloba in the form of supplements, which are available in some pharmacies or herbal stores. On average, it’s recommended to take 40 milligrams, three times a day.

Before you start the treatment with ginkgo biloba it is worth consulting a doctor as this herb may interfere with some medications.

9. Take Magnesium
