However, if the cause of your pain remains unexplained, you probably deal with the problem by taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicines. Remember, though, that you can easily get addicted to such drugs and they may cause some side effects. Therefore, try to use some natural and safe solutions, which can help you get rid of a headache without any side effects.

1.     Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an old Chinese medicine, which is used to treat various medical disorders, including headaches. In this technique a professional inserts ultrathin needles into different spots on your skin to improve the flow of energy.

There are studies which have proved that acupuncture can successfully treat different types of headaches. However, it is important to go to an experienced professional.

2.     Stretching

It happens very often that some tension in your muscles is responsible for headaches. Therefore, performing simple neck stretches might turn out to be very helpful when it comes to dealing with a headache. Remember to make every movement slowly and stretch only as much as your body allows you to.

At the beginning meditation seems to be very difficult as it is hard to sit calmly and not let yourself thinking about everyday problems. However, start with only a minute or two and then add a minute each day. This way after a month you will be able to meditate for about thirty minutes. You will see that you feel more relaxed and that your headaches are not so persistent any more.

8.     Elimination Diet

If you experience headaches mainly after a meal, you should consider elimination diet. It means that you should detect the food which is the culprit of your headache. You can simply eliminate some food product for at least two weeks and see if it helps you with headaches.
