You can apply pure coconut oil on the skin of your child up to four times during a day in order to speed up the healing of the skin. You can also add this oil to the bath when you are washing your baby. Coconut oil will protect the delicate skin of your child and prevent it from excessive dryness.

The use of olive oil has also been described in this article. You can use it without cornstarch too. Mix equal amounts of olive oil and water. A tablespoon of oil and a tablespoon of water will make do during one procedure. You should blend two liquids together. Apply the mixture on the damaged area of your child’s skin. You can leave the mixture on the skin without whipping it off.

3. Baking Soda

Using baking soda for treating diaper rash will help since it can alkalise the urine. In addition to it, the remedy will be helpful for children who have the rash because of a yeast infection. Yet, you should know the cause of the infection for a fact.

Prepare a bathtub full of lukewarm water for your child. Check the temperature since it shouldn’t be too hot. Add two tablespoons of baking soda into the bath and place your child in the bathtub for at least ten minutes. This procedure can be repeated everyday before your child will get rid of this problem completely.

You can use lanolin for treating diaper rash as well. It has soothing properties which help to heal the damaged skin and get rid of any inflammations.

Take two tablespoons of lanolin and start rubbing it between your fingertips. When you feel that the cream has appropriate edacity, you will be able to apply it on the skin of your child. The best time to do this procedure is night because during this time, your child doesn’t move too actively and lanolin will stay on the skin for a longer time.

If your child is suffering from severe diaper rashes, you should definitely use Maalox which helps to reduce the inflammation of skin and minimises the acidity level of urine and stool.

In order to prepare a good remedy, you will need to take equal parts of Maalox and milk of magnesia. For example, you can take a tablespoon of Maalox and the same amount of the milk of magnesia.

Mix both of the ingredients together and apply them on the cleaned skin of your child. You won’t need to cleanse the skin afterwards. This remedy is especially good for the babies with extremely sensitive skin.

There are many other products which can be used for treating diaper rash such as vinegar, oatmeal, plantain oil, aloe vera, egg whites and chamomile tea bags.
