What we do
We seek to educate and inform the public, and to encourage practices and policies that promote positive change in the production and use of mass media. We do not advocate censorship of any kind. We are committed to partnering with parents and other caregivers, organizations, and corporations in using the power of the free market to create healthier media choices for families, so that we have healthier, less violent communities.

Research
The Institute is the country’s leading source for research about the impact of media on bullying, youth violence, school performance, obesity and other child health and development issues. More...
Education
The Institute is an international resource for information and training materials - tools that parents and professionals need to make informed and proactive media choices. The Institute’s programs and materials create real change in homes, school districts, faith organizations and communities across the country - we know because we measure the impact of our work.

Our speakers are among the most sought-after presenters on topics related to media's impact on children, families, and communities. They have been informing, challenging, and inspiring professional and general audiences all over the world.
