For every part of the MediaWise Internet Safety series,
we are picking a Network member to receive a free
copy of Dr. David Walsh's critically acclaimed book, Safety
in the Cyberhood.
"Thank you! I'm thrilled. I recently went to
a meeting in Minnetonka where Dr. Walsh was the featured
speaker. His talk "Why do kids act that way?"
was right on target! I wanted to read more of his work.
But as a low income single mom I was unable to afford
to buy any that evening. So imagine how excited I was
to get this email!
I am dealing with this very issue (appropriate use of
the Internet, i.e., MySpace), with my 13 and 14 year
olds. Of course we are at odds about it. It is nice
to have my stand reinforced by Dr. Dave.
I look forward to receiving his book."
