Alissa M. Peichel
Training Consultant
Alissa Peichel is a native of Winthrop,
Minn. Her entrepreneurial spirit began at a young age
working alongside her father at his bait and tackle shop,
JB Lures. Alissa has carried that entrepreneurial spirit
throughout her career in financial planning, and for the
past seven years at Edward Jones. Through seminars, workshops
and coffee clubs she has educated classrooms, families
and clients on the importance of delayed gratification
and workshops around, "How to Raise Money Smart Children."
In addition, she hosts women's seminars based on David
Bach's book, Smart Women Finish Rich. This summer, she
started her role as a program manager for the National
Institute on Media and the Family. She helped bring Minnesota
Say Yes to No, a statewide book-read campaign,
from concept to implementation in three months. The Say
Yes to No community conversation is based on Dr. David
Walsh's latest book, No: Why Kids - of All Ages - Need
It and Ways Parents Can Say It. The campaign has received
national recognition and has appeared in the Wall Street
Journal and U.S. News and World Report. Since the campaign
launched in August 2007, she has received inquiries about
how to launch Say Yes to No in over 17 other states
and Canada. As a result, she has transitioned out of her
financial practice to work full-time for the National
Institute on Media and the Family and the Say Yes to
No campaign.
Alissa is a founder of The Dedicated Diva
